German coach Ralph Rangnick awarded Ronaldo the captain's armband, to lead the Manchester United team, which is ranked seventh in the English Premier League table, with 31 points, in its match against its guest Wolverhampton, who is ranked tenth with 25 points, in the 21st round of the English Premier League.
Ronaldo was chosen as captain after the team captain, Harry Maguire, was absent from the Wolverhampton match due to injury.
It is noteworthy that Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo carried the captain's armband in a previous period with United Manchester, during the confrontation with Bolton on March 19, 2008.
